My husband and I just got married a year ago. We don’t plan to have kids for a few years, but we both think adoption is a wonderful thing and would like to adopt a child in the future. Where should we go to look for a child to adopt? How long does the process usually take? I’ve heard it is expensive. Do you know, about how much does it cost?
My wife and I are trying. We’ve been together six years, we are both established in our careers, and we really wanted to have a child by time we reach thirty. We’ve prepared ourselves in every other way, but we would really like to prepare ourselves financially for baby costs. I know children need diapers, baby food, clothing, etc…How much should we expect to budget each month for baby expenses?
Do you think the way children act, respond, and so on is just a natural part of their personalilty or do it think it’s directly related to parenting? For example, is a child clingy and needy because their parents do everything for them and don’t leave their side? Are “bad kids” bad because their parents allow the behavior? I have my opinion and want to see what others think. Thanks
In Belgium the only thing that parents give there children that money can buy is basically food, clouding, basic necessities witch would cost about $200.00 to $300.00 a month in USA. Medical is extra. Every thing ells is luxury according to Belgium standards? How much money would you do you need a father to pay in child support or month of each child if he can afford it? I mean beside medical?
I watch a two year old boy about 35 hours per weeks for $150 in Denver, CO. This is an excellent price. Most in-home child care providers charge $8-$15/hour here. I am child CPR certified. However I do not need a license to watch one child, so I do not have one. After we move into a larger house (in 2 months) I am setting up for child care and will obtain a license at that time in order to watch another child.
My question is this… The boy I watch needs care as early as 2 am, and sometimes overnight. NO child care centers even have the option to leave your child overnight, so what should I be charging for that time? Should I do an hourly rate of $5/hour for regualar hours & $7/hour for night?
This is for parent who make 90K per year. The child is good, but he is not potty trained. I’m thinking $200/week is good.
I met with the parents and informed them of a rate change (with a 30 day notice). The mother was not willing to pay more, so they are seeking care elseware! Wow… I didn’t know I was so unappreciated.
My baby is due next year, and my husband and I can’t agree when our child should start receiving their own money.
When do you think children should have money, and how much money?
I’m 10 weeks pregnant (with my second child) and I’m in need of some extra income. I was thinking of running an ad for child care in my home. I was planning on watching only up to age 5. I’m planning on providing meals and snacks and teaching them colors, numbers, shapes, letters depending on what they already know… How much should I charge? And I will watch them any hours so if they need me to watch them over night should I charge extra? Thanks for your help!
My wife and I want to give a home to a disadvantaged child and were thinking foster/adopt. We already have a child and want to open our home to an older child. How much would this cost us in the legal since?
